Cars recalled for auto defects that might lead to injury, death

Automakers are recalling their products because of faulty parts that can lead to injury or death. In the meantime, Billings and Yellowstone County, Montana, residents who have bought Mazda 6, Toyota Sienna and Nissan Infiniti models may wish to keep their vehicles in their garage to avoid any accidents as the cars have been found to have dangerous auto defects.

Recently, Toyota recalled 615,000 minivans because of mechanical defects that cause the vehicles to roll when parked. Now, Nissan and Mazda are following suit. Nissan is recalling its 2006 to 2010 M35 and M45 Infiniti models because the sedans can suddenly stop when they are in motion. The mechanical issues were traced to deteriorating accelerator pedal sensors. The faulty sensors can send inaccurate signals to the engine, which may lead to the abrupt idling or stopping.

Meanwhile, Mazda is recalling its 2009 to 2013 Mazda 6 cars because of the latch glitches, which may cause the doors of the vehicle to unexpectedly open. The glitch was found to be caused by faulty latching crews. The automotive product recall of the three automakers totals 421,000 units.

One of the most dangerous products a Billings and Yellowstone County consumer can own is a defective automobile. Not only will a person's life be compromised but that person can also become a liability to other motorists if he or she is on the road. Defective products are not only a waste of a consumer's hard-earned money but they could also lead to injuries and fatalities.

In addition to reporting it to consumer safety agencies, Billings and Yellowstone County consumers who find themselves in this kind of situation can take legal action against a company that sells and manufactures the product. Manufacturers are required by law to always place consumer safety and product quality above all else. Although it is understood that companies do need to make profit, it should not be by providing defective and substandard products.
