Product liability is the area of law in which manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and others who make products available to the public are held responsible for the injuries those products may cause.
A products liability claim is usually based on one or more of the following causes of action:
1. design defect,
2. manufacturing defect,
3. a failure to warn.
