Michael grew up in Billings and earned his Bachelor’s Degree (2004) at Montana State University-Billings. After graduation, he and his family moved to Iowa City, Iowa, where Michael earned his Juris Doctorate (2008), Master’s Degree (2012), and Ph.D. (2015) from The University of Iowa.
Michael returned to Montana in 2015, where he always wanted to work as a plaintiff’s attorney. Prior to joining Edwards & Culver in 2020, Michael clerked for the Honorable Michael G. Moses of the Montana Thirteenth Judicial District and went on to practice commercial, business, and insurance defense law at other firms in Billings. Now, Michael’s practice focuses on representing injured Montanans.
When not finding himself in the letters of law and literature, Michael can be found outdoors in the Beartooths, enjoying with his family the singular geology of Montana’s mountains. He also enjoys appreciating and understanding the works of his favorite philosopher, Ludwig Wittgenstein, from new angles.
