Fatal accident in Montana may be attributable to drunk driving

Two people are dead in fatal accident on a Montana highway following a head on collision that happened recently. This tragedy happened at nighttime, when visibility is reduced. According to authorities, one vehicle was heading the wrong way on the multilane road and was traveling faster than the posted speed limit.

Apparently, another vehicle, heading in the correct direction, was not avoid the vehicle travelling the wrong way on the road. Upon impact, one of the pickups immediately became engulfed in fire. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene even despite the accident being reported promptly. One of the drivers, the one who was heading in the correct direction, has yet to be identified. Authorities cite the reason for the delay as the extent of the victim's injuries.

Investigators, who were still re-routing traffic from the scene several hours after the accident, said they strongly suspected alcohol had a role in this collision, although no specific details were available. One of the drivers, the one heading the wrong way, was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

It is sad that two people died in this tragic accident, and it is even more sad that it seems one was the innocent victim of the other's negligent driving or even drunk driving.
