List of potentially harmful defective products for consumers

Billings, Montana, residents are careful about buying products. They often purchase items manufactured by brands they trust. However, even well-known companies may produce defective products that pose risks to consumers. Local residents should always check on the most recent product recalls to ensure the safety of their families.

There were three items that were recently added to the product recall list: an activity tracking wristband, an electric bicycle and certain autumn decorations.

TJX, the manufacturer of Gardeners Eden autumn decorations, ordered a recall of the item. The autumn decorations were sold from August 2013 to September 2013 at Marshalls, HomeGoods and TJ Maxx stores nationwide. The reason behind the recall is the exposed wiring that can cause a short circuit, which is a fire hazard.

The second item on the recall list is the Stromer ST1 electric bicycle by BMC. The bicycles were sold nationwide from January 2012 to May 2013. The bicycle fork can easily shatter, which can cause an accident and injuries.

The last item is a wireless activity-tracking wristband, which was manufactured by Fitbit. The item was sold nationwide from October 2013 to February 2014. According to the manufacturer, the users of the wristbands may develop allergic reactions due to the adhesives used in assembling the product, materials of the item's strap and stainless steel casing.

Consumers who have bought any of the recalled products may respond to the recall and get assistance from the manufacturer in resolving the issue. For those who were injured after using those products, there is another option - filing a products liability claim against the manufacturer. A victim can possibly obtain compensation for their losses through the claim. They can also seek legal help to ensure that their rights are fully protected.
